Belmont Baseball Club will be holding their Annual Back To Belmont Event on Sunday August 1, 2010.

All previous/current members are more than welcome to come along and join in the festivities and watch the Major League clash with Maitland.

The NBA has pleasure in announcing the following players selected to the 2010 Men's Representative Squad to compete at the NSW Country Championships to held at Coffs Harbour this October long weekend. From this squad the following two teams will be selected:

1. Open Team: To compete in the A division competition.
2. 23's Team: To compete in the B division competition.

The Newcastle U18 team travelled to Blacktown on the 22nd and 23rd May to contest the NSW Country championships. The 18s was made up by only 3 teams, Newcastle, Central Coast and Illawarra with each team playing each other twice in the preliminary games.

All 3 teams won 2 of their 4 games and unfortunately Newcastle missed out on a spot in the final due to for and against runs. Illawarra eventually winning the title 4-3 against Central Coast in a tough 9 inning game.

The NBA hereby calls for nominations for appointment to the following positions with our 2010 womens and two mens teams to compete at the Country Championships this October Long Weekend (2-4 October) in Coffs Harbour.

A tough luck last game loss for the U18s to be shunted from the final has been eased by solid victories for both the U14 & U16 Newcastle Teams at the 2010 NSW Country Baseball Championships played at Blacktown Olympic Park this weekend.

The U14s had a dominant 10-0 victory whilst the U16s had a game long arm wrestle come out in their favour 13-11, both teams beating Central Coast for their Championship titles.

Congratulations to all players, coaches, support staff and parents on a most successful weekend.

The NBA advises notice has been received from Kim Hook of her resignation from the NBA Board and her position as NJBL President effective immediately. We thank Kim greatly for her services to the NBA Board and baseball in general over many years.

For those not aware, the Junior Committee is a sub committee of the NBA Board charged with the organisation and running of junior baseball.

Commencing in 2010, all Fixtures & Results from the Newcastle Baseball competitions will be managed and displayed online. As results are added, the grade standings will be immediately updated & available for view.
