Newcastle players and spectators are invited to attend the 2010 Sydney Invitational Womens Baseball Tournament, being held at Blacktown Olympic Park from 23 January to 26 January, with an All-Star Game to be held on 26 January.

The Newcastle team travelled to Wollongong during the October long weekend to contest the NSW Country Championships. After being runners up last year, the team was keen to improve on this performance during the weekend.

University Baseball Club, the Camels, would like to offer players and coaches looking to compete in the Newcastle major league competition a place in our club for 2010 and beyond. Our club is very keen to again return to first grade and we would like to especially offer players that are unable to move up in other clubs, due to excess numbers, the chance to play at a higher competitive level with us.

Some of you may have heard talk during the winter of the NBA's proposal to commence a summer competition.

The 2009 Women’s program commenced with a series of scrimmage games that enabled players to establish reference points with respect to their playing ability and the team’s coaching staff to get an early assessment of the potentially available players. These games were valuable from a player development perspective and should be incorporated in future programs.

Notice is hereby given to all clubs and members that the Annual General Meeting of the Newcastle Baseball Association Incorporated will be held at Cardiff Panthers on Monday November 23, 2009. Commencing at 7:30pm.

Anyone wishing to nominate for a position on the Board can find a nomination form in the downloads section of the website. These forms must be returned to the Association Secretary by Monday November 9, 2009.

This Saturday at the Grand Final hosted by Belmont we will be holding a training session for those not playing in the Grand Final on Lumsdon Oval (behind right field) at the batting cages from 1pm for about an hour or so. Is more a chance for those not playing to roll the arm over and keep it moving, take a few ground balls and then get some cuts in the cage. Let you team mates know about the day.
